Who is Coach Ze

My own volleyball journey started in 7th grade, and I fell in love with the sport right away. I played four years in high school — one on JV, three on varsity — and competed in club for three seasons, including two at Houston Force Volleyball. After graduating, I began pursuing a degree in nursing, knowing I wanted to help others. But I quickly realized that my purpose wasn’t in a hospital — it was on the court.

I returned to the club where I played and started coaching. That led to an incredible opportunity to work full-time with Houston Force as their Director of Operations. Coaching quickly became more than just a job — it became the way I give back to a sport that gave so much to me.

Now, with five years of coaching experience, I work with athletes from beginners to 17-year-olds. I focus on teaching strong fundamentals, building volleyball IQ, and developing athletic performance that translates to confidence, discipline, and growth.

To me, volleyball is more than just a sport — it’s an outlet, a community, and a place where athletes learn life lessons they carry far beyond the court.
